get into the action on stage.
Michael, again, plans on bringing
quality, entertaining performances
to the audience, he will be using
unique sets and designs for this
production. This will be a fun and
action filled evening for all in

Four actors will be portraying the
couples who want to come to
terms with playground "Bullying"
and "altercations" between their
two eleven year old boys on the
local playground. As both sets of
parents approach the delicate
situation, and as the rum flows,
the situation changes. Michael's
approach to the play is unique and
the actors deliver a powerful and
moving performance.

Stage 5 Theatre is proud to announce
the Musical "Spring Awakening" is to be
performed at the Dutch Square Mall this
October 21-30, 2011.
This Musical speaks to the problems
that face all teenagers. Even though it
is set in Germany back in the 1890's,
it message is just as valid today as it
was back in 1891.
Michael Bailey, artistic director of Stage
5 Theatre is excited about this work and
is looking forward to bringing this play
and it's modern music to Columbia.
This play has language and themes of
adult nature. We suggest parents and
teenagers experience it together. There
will much to talk about after and during
the performance.

Announcing: The World Premier:
A New 3 act play by Local Playwright.
Stage 5 will be bringing a "New" play to
Columbia in the Spring of 2012.
The playwright is a local young lady
who submitted her work to Michael
Bailey, artistic Director of Stage 5 for his
review. Michael thought highly of her
work and decided to offer a workshop
environment to help her develop and
finalize her work. Michael feels that it is
a great play and he feels will be highly
accepted by the Columbia theater
Audience. He has the backing of Stage
5 to produce it in the Spring of 2012.

Thephlius North has been rescheduled for
November 3rd, 5th and 6th, 2011 at the TOL
Congregation Hall, it had to be postponed due
to conflicts in Scheduling.
Theophlius North - by mathew Burnett and
based on the Thornton Wilder novel
From Off-Broadway comes this
astonishing charmer of a play, based upon
the semi - autobiographical final work of
three-time Pulitzer Prize-winning icon of
American letters, Thorton Wilder.
Set in the tony resort town of Newport, RI,
during the height of the "Jazz Age" in
summer, 1926, Theophilus North follows
the exploits of the title character as he
searches for adventure and his place in
the world. Quitting his teaching position
in New Jersey, and stranded in Newport
after his jalopy breaks down, thirty-year
old Theophilus takes odd jobs (tennis
instructor, French tutor, private reader....)
in house of the wealth, infiltrating himself
into the lives and troubles of Newport's
residents, both upstairs and downstairs.
But the greatest adventure in store is not
what he has imagined....
This serio-comedic play in two acts has
seven actors 4M, 3W playing multiple roles.
