MBF Productions was pleased to announce our
collaboration with the Jewish Community Center
of  Columbia  to  bring  the   Children's   Musical
"Seussical  Jr."  to  Columbia,  SC  on  March 14,
2010.  This was a limited performance event.

Based on the books of Dr. Seuss with music and
dance routines. This was a delightful production,
performed  by  an  ALL  children  cast  ranging in
ages from 5 years old to 14 years old.

Director of Seussical Jr., was Michael Bailey, on
loan from Stage 5 Theatre.    Bailey was critically
acclaimed in his Directorial preview in Columbia
SC of "
How I Learned to Drive".    He holds an MFA
from  Professional  Director’s   Training Program
at Ohio University.

Emily Fincher, was  hired   by  JCC  to  train  the
children  of   JCC   in  Vocals   and    Music  with
Michael  Bailey  volunteering   his   talents  and
skills  in  blocking  and choreographing  all  the
routines on stage.
Vocal and Music Director for Seussical Jr. was
Emily Fincher.  Emily did an outstanding job on
getting these young  performers ready to take
the stage  and  delight  audiences  of all ages.
These young people  worked long and hard to
learn the  Vocals  and  dance routines for this
delightful play.

The Jewish Community Center  produced this
play and all the children come from theCenter.
The play was in rehearsal from early Nov. 2009
until Mid March 2010 and the children came a
very long way and would have delighted all in
attendance had it  not been  cancelled  by the
JCC at the final rehearsal.   The Children, cast
and crew  worked long  and  hard and it was a
shame it was not presented to the public.

The Play never opened and closed on March 11,
2010.

Stage 5 Theatre, donated and constructed the
stage,  set  and wing  space to  JCC as well as
the  Directoral  talents of Michel Bailey, Stage 5's
artistic director.
